Sales

Compiling the sale file

Obtain the list of required documents, add each document, and track its expiration dates.

Purpose

The sale file gathers the certificates and attestations necessary for the sale of a unit. The list of documents is established according to the property.

Each document has a status, a receipt date, an expiration date, and its file, which allows you to know at any time what is missing and what must be renewed before the deed.

Where to find it

  1. Sales
  2. Sale files

Also accessible via the “Sale file” action of a sales transaction.

Steps

  1. Open “Sale files”, choose the “Unit” and, if it exists, the “Sale (optional)”, then click on “Create the file”.
  2. For each document, update the status between “To obtain”, “Requested”, “Received”, and “Not applicable”.
  3. Click on “Add the file” to upload the document; the document status then changes to “Received”.
  4. Check the proposed receipt date and expiration date, and correct them if necessary.
  5. Click on “Mark complete” when all documents have been gathered, then on “Close the file” at the end of the sale.

Good to know

  • Upon receipt of a document, a standard expiration date is proposed.
  • Members of the organisation are notified 30 days, then 7 days before the expiration of a document, and on the day itself.
  • For a house, the co-ownership documents are marked “Not applicable” as soon as the file is created.
