Creating and publishing listings

Purpose

The “Announcements” screen prepares the broadcasting of your properties. A listing originates from a unit, reuses its data and photos, and carries a title and a description in each language. Publishing it makes it visible on your agency website and in its XML and JSON feeds, while property portals are connected separately in the “Website” screen.

For each listing, the list displays the number of “Views”, “Requests” and “Viewings”, in order to measure generated interest and adjust the price or text accordingly.

Steps

1. Click on “New listing” and choose the “Unit” as well as the “Type” (“Letting” or “Sale”).
2. Specify the “Sale price” or the “Monthly rent”, the “Monthly charges”, the “Available from” date and the energy information.
3. Draft the “Title” and the “Description” in each language by switching from one language tab to another.
4. In “Photos”, click on the images of the unit and its building to select them, and then order them using the arrows, keeping in mind that the first one serves as the cover.
5. Click on “Save” so that the listing is created with the “Draft” status.
6. Click on “Publish” on the listing row, and then on “Public page” to view it as the public sees it.

Good to know

• Publication requires a title in at least one language and a price, otherwise the portal displays “Title and price are required before publishing.”.
• If the website is offline, the listing is published but remains visible only after putting the website online in “Website”.
• “Remove” takes the listing off the website and feeds after confirmation, and it can be applied to several selected listings.
