Purpose
The bank statement import reads the CSV export of your bank and reconciles each credit with the open amounts (rents and service charges). Matching relies on the reference, the amount and the name of the payer, in order to validate most monthly payments in a few clicks.
Each line displays its status (“Matched”, “To confirm” or “Unmatched”) and the selected reason, so that the agent only verifies uncertain cases.
Where to find it
- Finance
- Transactions
“Bank statement import” block below the list.
Steps
- Click “CSV file” and choose the export of your bank.
- Map the “Columns” of the file, which must include at least the “Date” and the “Amount (signed)”, or the “Credit” and the “Debit”, followed by the “Counterparty”, the “Counterparty account” and the “Reference”.
- Click “Import”, so that REOS indicates the number of imported, matched and already known lines.
- In “Lines to validate”, verify the “Matched with” proposal or choose another amount in “Choose an amount”.
- Select the correct lines and click “Validate selection”, or dismiss a line with “Ignore”.
Good to know
- Column mapping is saved for the next import, in order to avoid repeating it every month.
- An already imported line is not created a second time, and outgoing payments are not proposed for matching.
- Validation updates the status of rents to “Paid” and triggers the sending of receipts.
