Rent and finance

Generating owner statements

Generate the statement for each owner every month, including collected rents, fees, and expenses, in order to send it along with its PDF document.

Purpose

The owner statement reports, for a given month, the rents and charges collected on properties under management, the agency fees, and the allocated expenses, while displaying the net amount to be remitted, in order to provide owners with a clear and documented overview of their asset management.

Fees are calculated according to the “Commission model” specified in the management mandate (percentage of rent, monthly fixed rate, fixed rate per unit, or mixed formula) and recorded in transactions, in order to ensure consistency with invoicing.

Good to know

  • Re-running the generation process for a previously processed month updates existing statements instead of duplicating them, in order to maintain data integrity.
  • Sending a statement requires an email address on the owner profile and records the corresponding remittance in the transactions, in order to keep accounting up to date.
  • Statements are also accessible to owners through their online portal, provided that the agency has granted them access, in order to facilitate transparency.
