Subscribe to Google Calendar or Outlook

Display your viewings, appointments, and tasks in Google Calendar or Outlook using a personal, read-only subscription address.

Purpose

The “Calendar subscription” allows you to view your viewings, appointments, and open tasks in the calendar application you already use, without specific configuration, by means of a personal and secret address.

This feed is read-only: modifications are made in REOS and are reflected in Google Calendar or Outlook according to their own refresh rate, which can take several hours.

Where to find it

  1. Calendar

“Subscription” button at the top of the screen.

Steps

  1. Open the “Calendar” and click on “Subscription” in order to display your personal address.
  2. Click on “Copy address” or, if your workstation has a calendar application, on “Open in calendar app”.
  3. In Google Calendar, add the address from “Other calendars”, using the “From URL” option.
  4. In Outlook, use “Add calendar”, then “Subscribe from web”, and paste the address.
  5. If the address has been shared by mistake, click on “New address” in order to create a new one and deactivate the old one in all calendars that use it.

Good to know

  • The address provides access to your calendar: it must not be shared.
  • Each user has their own address, which only includes their viewings, appointments, and open tasks with a deadline.
  • Bidirectional synchronisation, which would send appointments entered in Google Calendar or Outlook back to REOS, is not included in the simple subscription and requires custom configuration.

Custom configuration, on request to REOS

Bidirectional synchronisation with Google Calendar or Outlook depends on the accounts and access specific to your organisation. The “Request configuration” button, displayed in the “Calendar subscription” window, sends a request to REOS, which configures the connection with the organisation's contracts and access; the card then indicates “Configuration requested”. Without this configuration, the read-only subscription address remains available for each user.
