Purpose
The signing page allows each signatory to review the document and sign it from a computer or mobile phone without creating an account, by using a personal link sent by email.
The one-time passcode, typed name, drawn signature, and express consent are recorded alongside the timestamp, IP address, and browser details in order to establish the audit trail included in the certificate.
Where to find it
- Operations
- Signatures
Public page accessed via the personal link sent to each signatory.
Steps
- Open the link received by email in order to review the document, the list of “Parties”, and the “SHA-256 fingerprint”.
- Click on “Send me a code” to receive a code valid for 10 minutes by email, and then enter it into the “Code (6 digits)” field.
- Enter your “Full name” and draw your signature with a finger or mouse in the “Signature” box, which you can “Clear” if you need to start again.
- Tick the consent box, and then click on “Sign the document” to complete the procedure.
- If you do not wish to sign, click on “Decline to sign”, enter a “Reason (optional)”, and click on “Confirm refusal”.
Good to know
- After five incorrect attempts, a new code must be requested; a new code cannot be requested less than one minute after the previous one.
- Once all signatures have been gathered, the page provides the option to “Download the certificate”.
- The link can no longer be used once the request has been cancelled or has expired, and the page notifies the signatory accordingly.
- If the signature is declined, the sender is informed and the signatory appears as “Declined” in the requests list.
