Purpose
The "Insurance claims" screen lists damage occurring in co-ownership properties, including their type, date, insurer, estimated damage, and indemnity. Each claim retains its documents and follow-up tasks, which allows you to reconstruct the file at any time.
The declaration to the insurer is sent by email with the attached files, and a follow-up is automatically scheduled in order that the file does not remain without a response.
Where to find it
- Co-ownership
- Insurance claims
Steps
- Click on "New", select the "Co-ownership" and the "Type", and then enter the date in "Occurred on", the affected lot, and the "Description".
- Specify the "Insurer", the "Insurer email", and the "Policy number", as well as the "Estimated damage" if you know it.
- Use the "Attach a file" action to add the photos, estimates, or reports required for the file.
- Click on "Declare to the insurer" in order to send the claim and its documents to the insurer email address.
- Update the record as the file progresses with the adjuster, the "Adjuster visit", the "Excess", the "Indemnity", and the status.
Good to know
- The "Declare to the insurer" action only appears when the insurer email is entered and the claim is "Open" or "Declared".
- After the declaration, the status changes to "Declared" and a follow-up task is created for 14 days.
- The "Follow-up task" action creates a 7-day task assigned to you, which appears in "My tasks".
