Product and platform
Frequently asked questions on “Product and platform”, with the details specific to your market where the rules depend on it.
What is REOS and who is this software designed for?
REOS is the operating system for real estate businesses, bringing together owners, properties, units, mandates, leases, transactions, documents, finance, and operations on a single platform. It is designed for sales agencies, rental management companies, property managers, developers, and investors, ranging from sole traders to agency networks, so that everyone works from a single database rather than disconnected tools. Because each screen provides a view of this single database, any modification made by a team member is immediately visible to the others.

Link to this questionWhat business activities and modules are covered by the platform?
The platform covers sales transactions, rental management, property management, and property development in order to address all of the company’s activities. The modules include the property portfolio, mandates, leases, maintenance, accounting, general meetings, and dedicated portals. This modular structure enables each agency to activate the functions that correspond precisely to its business so that the menu adapts to its needs.

Link to this questionIn which languages and on which markets is REOS available?
The workspace is available in French, Dutch, English, and Spanish so that each user can work in their own language. Country-specific rules are handled at the property and lease level rather than being hardcoded into the screens, which allows the same organisation to manage properties located in several countries while applying the rules relevant to each one.
United Kingdom For the United Kingdom, REOS manages properties, leases, their deadlines, and documents, and market-specific rules can be configured upon request.
Link to this questionHow do the workspace, roles, and staff access permissions work?
The workspace is used within a web browser at app.re-os.eu without requiring any installation. Permissions are assigned by role, such as administrator, property manager, or accountant, so that each team member only has access to the functions they need. Because pricing does not depend on the number of accounts, every person has their own login, which preserves the audit trail and avoids the sharing of credentials.

Link to this questionWhat services are offered by the owner, tenant, co-owner, and buyer portals?
Owners, tenants, co-owners, and off-plan buyers each have a dedicated space limited to their own file, in their own language. Owners can view their properties and statements, tenants can check their lease, payment deadlines, and documents, co-owners can review their fund calls and account statements, and buyers can follow the progress of their lot and payment schedule. These spaces reduce the number of requests sent to the agency because the information is available at all times.

Link to this questionHow are the diary and online appointment booking managed?
The shared diary brings together visits, appointments, and team tasks so that everyone has the same view of the schedule. On a published listing, a prospective buyer or tenant can book an available time slot themselves, which creates the contact and the visit and sends them a confirmation with an .ics file; a reminder is sent 24 hours before the visit. Each user can also subscribe to their diary within their usual application using a read-only iCalendar feed, while bidirectional synchronisation with Google or Outlook is implemented on a custom basis upon request.

Link to this questionHow do the agency public website and listing syndication work?
Each agency has a public website displaying its published listings, complete with a contact form and online visit booking. Publishing a listing from the workspace updates this website as well as the agency XML and JSON feeds, which never disclose the street name of the property. Third-party real estate portals receive nothing by default, and each connection is configured on a custom basis upon request using the agency contract and login details.

Link to this questionHow do software trials and subscription setup work?
After creating your account, you select a plan according to the number of units under management, which initiates a seven-day trial period during which nothing is charged. The portal remains closed as long as no plan is selected, because unit and storage limits depend on it. For a large portfolio or data migration, assisted implementation can be quoted separately.

Link to this questionDoes REOS replace our accounting software?
No. REOS covers real estate finance, meaning rent calls, agency invoices, statements, and disbursements to owners, and it exports journals in CSV or Excel format so that your general accounting remains managed within your usual software. A direct connector to this software can be built on a custom basis upon request.
